personal picWelcome to first grade!

Hi, my name is Susie Edwinson.

Your child’s education is of the utmost importance to me and I realize the magnitude of my calling as your child’s teacher. Plato, in his book The Republic, said “The direction in which education starts a man, will determine his future life.” Education in our community plays an extremely important role in my life. Two of my children have already graduated from the El Paso Independent School District. My oldest son is attending UTEP, and my oldest daughter recieved a wrestling scholarship to Ottawa University, My youngest children will graduate this year from Franklin High School. I attended high school in Austin, Texas. I moved to Utah and attended the University of Utah, and then graduated from The University of Phoenix after moving to El Paso.

I worked as a substitute at Kohlberg during the 2003-2004 school year and I served a long term substitute position during the first half of that year. I immediately realized I wanted to be in the classroom full-time. I completed my first full-time position at Kohlberg during the 2004-2005 school year. It is a privilege to work here, and I am looking forward to being here for many years to come!

If you would like to meet with me, my conference time is from 1-1:45. you can call the school at 915-236-2850, or email me at sedwinso@episd,org to arrange a time for a conference.
